The month of May came and went. I was going to write a newsletter about your hands and how I love to work on them… I think I still will!
Some of you have arthritis in your hands, and the stimulation of the reflexology touch often helps them warm up and gets your blood moving. You tell me they “feel better already.” That’s why the warmth of a shower or dishwater or pulling weeds, knitting a scarf, shuffling cards… any activity that uses your fingers is so helpful.
Everything I do when I reflex your hands has a purpose.
When I rub the ends of your fingers, it stimulates the brain reflex. When I go up and down on your fingers, it stimulates your neck and head area, perfect for relieving headaches and sinus issues. Down your fingers and into the hand are your lung and heart reflexes and the chest area. Then I move lower on your hands to reach the upper and lower abdominal regions for digestive issues.
Of course, there are more reflexes in your hands but you get the picture. We don’t often talk while I do your hands because your eyes are closed and you are deeply relaxing in your own world. Yes, hand reflexology is often a quieter time in the session. I am thinking about your hand reflexes and taking good care of you as this frantic world goes by.
And you are taking care of me as well by letting me hold your hand, because we are all in this together.
Thank you for finding me. Thank you for coming. I appreciate working with you and your friends. It’s my joy, and I hope reflexology is yours, too.
